In 2012 and 2015 Polish Canadian Sailors organized the Wladyslaw Wagner Sailing Rally to the British Virgin Islands where Wagner, the first Polish sailor to sail around the world settled after the Second World War. This summer, the Virgin Islands team takes part in the Pan American Games in Toronto. It was a great opportunity to meet again, talking about the current events, the legacy of Wagner, the legendary Polish sailor and the chances of the BVI team at the Games. Mr. Ephraim Penn’s father knew Wagner personally, and even worked with him during Wlady’s pioneer BVI days. Polish sailors were invited to the third Wagner Rally at the Virgin Islands. It is now official: the event will take place on January 29, 30 and 31, 2018.  Everybody hopes The Wagner Rally 2018 will become a major event, bringing the sailing history of Poland closer to the world.
